Blog Post #1: January 19th, 2022 About Me: Hello everyone! My name is Mallorie Smith and I am a Junior here at Texas State. I am studying to get my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, getting my certification in ESL grades K-6th. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but I currently am living in San Marcos. I have one older sister who graduated from Texas A&M University. One major fact about me is that I love animals! I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 turtles, but only one of my cats lives here with me in San Marcos. His name is Boko, named after the Texas State mascot. I've wanted to become a teacher my entire life, and I am so excited for this class and to get to know everyone! Why Teach?
